Bippid reads your own activity in the tools you connect and drafts a post about your work. This page covers what it reads from each tool, how the AI that writes your draft uses it, what Bippid keeps, and how to get it removed.
01What Bippid reads
Only the tools you connect, each through that tool’s own permission screen, and only with read access. Every connection is separate, and you can pause or remove any of them from Settings. Bippid looks for your own activity from the current day.
GitHub: commits you push and pull requests you open or merge, in the accounts and repositories where you install the Bippid GitHub App.
Linear: issues you open, move, complete or cancel, and comments you write.
Figma: in the files you add in Settings, when you edited them, the versions you name, the comments you write, and each file’s name. Bippid never opens the designs inside a file.
Slack: messages you write in public channels. Direct messages, group messages, private channels and other people’s messages are left out.
Notion: among the pages you share with Bippid on Notion’s permission screen, the ones you create or edit, and the opening text of those pages.
Voice notes: when you record one, the audio is sent to be transcribed, and only the transcript is used. The recording is never stored.
LinkedIn, if you connect it for publishing: permission to post to your own profile, used only when you press Publish. At that moment Bippid reads your LinkedIn member id so the post names you as its author. It stores the access LinkedIn grants and nothing else from LinkedIn: no profile details, and no copy of the posts you publish there. Bippid does not read your LinkedIn feed, messages or connections.
Bippid never records your screen, reads your keystrokes, or reads anything outside the tools you approve.
02How the AI uses it
Bippid uses Google’s Gemini API to sort your activity and write your draft. Your activity, your voice note transcripts and your setup answers (such as your title, your tone and the topics to keep out) are sent to it for that, each time a draft is written.
Your data is used only to write your own drafts. Bippid never uses it to train an AI model, and never shares it for anyone else’s model training.
03What Bippid keeps
Your account: your email address and how you sign in.
Your setup: the answers you give during setup and on your Profile page, and your settings.
Your connections: the access each tool granted, encrypted before it is stored, and the list of Figma files you add.
Your drafts: each day’s draft, your edits, and which platforms you marked it posted on. Draft history is kept so the writing stays consistent from day to day.
Today’s activity is held only while the day’s draft is being written. It is not saved to Bippid’s database, and it is cleared when the day ends.
Some choices, such as your settings and voice note transcripts, are also kept in your own browser so the app opens quickly. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them there.
04Who handles it
Supabase stores Bippid’s database and handles sign-in. Render runs Bippid’s servers. Vercel serves the website. Google’s Gemini API writes your drafts and transcribes voice notes. Each handles your data only to provide its part of Bippid.
Bippid does not sell your data, and it posts only when you press Publish. With LinkedIn connected for publishing, pressing Publish posts that draft to your own profile; otherwise you copy each draft and post it yourself. Nothing is ever posted on a schedule.
05Removing your data
Pausing a tool stops Bippid reading it. Disconnecting a tool also deletes the access it granted, straight away.
LinkedIn access is deleted straight away when you disconnect LinkedIn in Settings, remove Bippid in LinkedIn’s own settings, or ask us to delete your account.
To delete your account and everything Bippid keeps about you, email hello@bippid.com from your account’s email address. Your account, setup, connections and drafts are deleted within 30 days. Posts you published on LinkedIn or X belong to those accounts and are yours to manage there.
06Security
Access granted by your tools is encrypted before it is stored, every connection asks only for read access, and all traffic to and from Bippid is encrypted. If your data is ever exposed, Bippid will tell you, and the tools concerned, as soon as it knows.
